Beach

We are having a heat wave, so I took the traveling zoo to the beach in Half Moon Bay.
Polly running at the beach. With BALL. Again. I had to look at the date
to make sure this was the right picture because that's the only thing
she ever does at beaches.

Nick actually decided to go into the water. And seemed
to enjoy it even though it was super cold. In fact there was
much yelling when I finally removed him because he was
turning an alarming shade of blue.

Lunch of french fries and cole slaw. Hey, it's vegetables, right?

Tired now. We will nap. You drive. Wake us when we
get home. Then you will have to provide us with more
amusement.

Nick in the water. Apparently he seems to like it.

Same spot, two hours later.

Backpacks can be stored in the tent's vestibule.

Polly is a good human trainer

Polly's world is finally complete. Nick is now both willing and able to throw BALL. A year ago, we had this behavior. Not okay. That evening Polly was starting to talk about how Nick doesn't really have ball and toy drive. I told her that she needs to work harder with him. So, after a year of daily training sessions, we now have this:

Ready?

Go!

Ok, he still needs to work on aiming, but much progress
has been made!

Farm help

Slide

Oh sh*t!
Nick learned to go down the slide by himself. He enjoys is greatly, although every time he goes down he has the "OMG I think I am going to die" expression.
